CANADA’S ‘STARS’ SHINE AT FOUR CONTINENTS CHAMPIONSHIPS IN SOUTH KOREA
…Stars on Ice presented by Smucker’s cast members Buttle and Rochette both bring home silver

Jeff Buttle and Joannie Rochette have often been called the ‘future of Canadian figure skating’, but last week the two cast members of Stars on Ice presented by Smucker’s showed the world that the future is now, as they both took home silver medals in their respective disciplines at the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Goyang City, South Korea. 

Their success at the Four Continents Championships will give Buttle and Rochette great confidence heading into next month’s World Figure Skating Championships, which will take place March 17-23 in Gothenburg, Sweden.  After the World Championships, they will embark on the 2008 Stars on Ice tour beginning in April.  This year’s tour will represent Buttle’s fourth with Stars on Ice and Rochette’s third. 

“I am very happy with my second-place finish, but I know there are things I can improve upon for the Worlds,” said Rochette on Sunday.  “This performance shows that I’m capable of achieving my goals in my short and long programs and getting good results.”
